The Sugababes have really let themselves down.

So, here it is, the first emo-broidery of 2008.  I thought it was about time to add some crafting to this blog, seeing as it is supposed to be the ramblings of a craftswoman after all.

I made this in response to the atrocious weather we are having in Glasgow.  Earlier in the week it was gale force winds, lashing rain and hailstones – pretty apocolyptic.  Ironically, the night that it seemed to be the end of the world I had the best night’s sleep I’d had in literally months.

I have another emo-broidery in progress at home, on a nu-rave tip.  I had hoped to get it finished last night, but instead spent the first half of the evening being Lee’s apprentice and taking notes as he examined mar-c’s light fittings and then on the way home we took a detour over the squinty bridge and ended up at Springfield Quay for dinner.  Everytime I go over the squinty bridge I look up and it feels like I am in the future in Tokyo or something.  For those of you who don’t live in the city, here is a picture of said bridge:

We had mexican for dinner, was very nice and probably unhealthy.  There were 2 guys next to us from Northern England somewhere who were possibly the rudest restaurant guests in history – they were grunting at the top of their lungs at the poor waiter over something or other.  It’s a shame that they escaped from their caves to abuse him, as he was very polite and enthusiastic – a rarity in the UK, American readers!

This weekend I am having my hairs cut at a place in the Merchant City – the place I won the voucher for at a tombola before Christmas.  It could go either way I guess.  I will just have a tidy up and wait til I get to my own hairdresser for colouring and potential fringey bits discussions.  Also tomorrow I have to stand in the queue of death at Marks and Spencers to take back a ridiculously over sized/mis labelled bra.  The refunds queue has been at least an hour long since Boxing Day, so I may postpone this again.

Sunday, Jo and I are going to a car boot sale – as vendors.  We have to be there for 5.30am!  Not looking forwards to that part, but am looking forwards to decluttering a bit.  It will be fun I am sure – we usually manage to make the best of these situations despite the cold.  I am looking forwards to the banter and trying out my “two for a paaaaaaaaaaand-ah!” type hollering.
